Join us on the shores of the world’s Greatest Lake for Tall Ships Duluth 2016. It’s a rare chance to catch a glimpse of the grandest ships of yore. Duluth will be one of only a handful of Great Lakes ports that will host the prestigious Tall Ships Challenge and is the only destination on Lake Superior. Tall Ships Duluth 2016 promises to be the largest event in our region’s history. We have decided to bring you on "Opening Day" so that you will can be a part of the "Parade of Sails" and the "Opening Ceremonies". Ships who are planning to be a part of the Tall Ships Festival are the US Brig Niagara, El Galeon Andalucía, Dragon Harald Fairhair Viking Ship, Mist of Avalon, When and If, Pride of Baltimore II, and more! No tours of ships or rides are offered on this day. You'll also experience "Art in the Park" offering over 150 high quality art vendors along with food, entertainment and more. Dress for the weather as this event takes place "rain or shine". Why not join us? We'll save a seat for you!
Your Tour Includes the Following:
How Your Day Will Unfold~
6:00 am- St Stephens (Trobecs); 6:15 am- Rice (Holiday Station); 6:45 am- Sartell (AmericInn); 8:15 am- Mora (TBA); 8:45 am Hinckley -(TBA)
8:45 - 9:30 am-A comfort stop will be made in Hinckley where you can get a cup of coffee/ quick breakfast, paying on own.
10:30 am-Arrive to the Duluth's Bayfront Park for the Tall Ships Festival - Opens at 11 am. (arts, crafts, music and food)
You may want to bring along a folding lawn chair. They can always be stored in the motor coach when not in use.
1:00 pm- The Parade of Sails begin (This is tentative - so it may change.)
4:00 pm- Opening Ceremonies begin.
6:30 pm- Board our Trobec coach and begin our journey homeward.
7:45 pm- Hinckley; (Quick Break) 8:45 pm Mora; 10:15 pm Sartell; 10:30 pm Rice; 10:45 pm - St Stephens
A $59 deposit is due at the time of registering. Deposits are non- refundable. They however, are transferrable to someone else. If the tour fails to meet its minimum number of 25 travelers, all monies paid to Happy Trails Tours will be refunded to the customer. We can up to 50 people. Plan for rain or shine! Sunscreen and/ or raingear. No coolers are allowed in the park. A folding lawn chair with carry bag is suggested.
