Things to Know Before You Go on the Door County
Should You Become Ill Prior or During the Tour- Please do not board the coach if you are exhibing symptoms of a contageous illness such as influenza, viral infections or other that may be spread throughout the coach. Visit your doctor and get the OK to travel if you are or have been ill within the past few days prior to departure. NOTE: We cannot distance you from a virus. Taking a motorcoach tour and sitting in close quarters with fellow travelers is inevitable. If you fear you may become ill while traveling with us, we ask that you reconsider taking this tour. As much as we’d love to have you, it’s next to impossible to promise someone that they won’t get sick while traveling. If you purchased travel insurance, BRING YOUR TRAVEL INSURANCE DOCUMENTS WITH YOU. Here is where the travel insurance comes in handy. Should you need any special assistance while on this tour, they will help you with any arrangements that may be needed to safely bring you home from where ever you are located. Masks will not be required to be worn on the coach unless it is mandated by the state of MN and WI. You may certainly wear a mask if you feel more safe. If you are feeling ill, we may encourage you to wear one.
The Coach/ Seat Rotation: The coach is chartered through Trobec Bus Company. It has seatbelts, reclining seats, foot rests, seat pockets, cup holders, restroom, microphone, Wi-Fi, #110 electrical outlets and requires several steps to climb to get inside. We do not rotate seats. We try to accommodate those with special needs and assign folks to a seat according to when they registered. Thank you for your understanding. They have a new filtration system and special cleaning products.
Hotels: The hotel amenities are in your day-by-day. On occasion, you may notice one without an elevator. Each hotel is doing a lot of extra cleaning and taking special precautions to keep viruses and bacteria from spreading.
Fully Guided with Professional Drivers and Escorts: Not to worry. You’re in good hands! A Happy Trails Representative looks forward to greeting each one of you. Rest assured, the smallest detail has been given the utmost attention to ensure a relaxing and well-organized tour. The Trobec drivers are wonderful and very accommodating, too. Together, your driver and tour host will take great care in all the final details to assure a fabulous travel experience.
Luggage: Pack one suitcase each. This suitcase is delivered each night to your rooms by the porter. (Tips are included). You may bring a carry-on bag, as well, on board. Carry-on bags are handled by yourself. Do not make them heavier than what you can carrry. Don't forget your camera and your charger.
Dress Code & How to Pack: This tour is comfortable and casual. Wear comfortable shoes and pack a light-weight jacket should it get a bit chilly. You may also wish to pack a swimming suit as Rowley's Bay has an indoor pool. We also recommend an umbrella for the rainy days and sunscreen and a hat for the sunny days.
Shuttles : Sometimes, if a location where we promised boarding, falls short in numbers, we may offer a small shuttle vehicle to help save costs OR ask you to travel a short distance to meet the coach.
Meals: Breakfast is included each morning except on the 1st day. We also included two lunches and three dinners. Details about these meals are yet to be announced. Let us know of any special dietary requests.
Special Needs: Be sure to let us know of any special needs...such as diet, walking, stairs, allergies or motion sickness, etc.... If you use a wheelchair, walker (one with a seat is best) or a scooter, please let us know. Please refrain from using strong cologns or perfumes while on board the coach. So many folks have allergies and we want everyone comfortable while traveling. Diabetics are encouraged to bring along some little snacks as we cannot always promise meal breaks on schedule though we do our best to.
Tipping: The tour includes tips for luggage handling, meals and step-on-guides. Tips are not included for your driver & on board travel host. An average suggested tip is $3-$5 per day per person. This only a suggestion. Tipping is very individual.
On Board Activities: We play movies, play games, listen to CDs & tell stories as we pass the time along while traveling. If you have a cute joke or story (and it’s appropriate for all audiences!) then we invite you to use the microphone and share your humor with all on board.
Schedule Changes: We reserve the right to adjust this schedule for the benefit of all traveling. Sometimes changes occur beyond our control. If a change occurs, we’ll let you know as soon as we can. We have no control over any of the attractions listed in this flyer nor can we control hotels, tour companies (other than our own) restaurants and theaters.
