Door County - July 11-15, 2020
Things to Know Before You Go on the Door County
The Coach/ Seat Rotation: The coach is chartered through Trobec Bus Company. It has seatbelts, reclining seats, foot rests, seat pockets, cup holders, restroom, microphone, Wi-Fi, #110 electrical outlets and requires several steps to climb to get inside. We do not rotate seats. We try to accommodate those with special needs and assign folks to a seat according to when they registered. Thank you for your understanding.
Hotels: The hotels amenities are listed on the day -by day. On occasion, you may notice one without an elevator.
Fully Guided with Professional Drivers and Escorts: Not to worry - you’re in good hands! A Happy Trails Representative looks forward to greeting each and every one of you. Rest assured, the smallest detail has been given the utmost attention to assure a relaxing and well organized tour. The Trobec drivers are wonderful and very accommodating, too. Together, your driver and tour host will take great care in all the final details to assure a fabulous travel experience.
Luggage: Pack one suitcase each. This suitcase is delivered each night to your rooms by the porter. (Tips are included). You may bring a carry-on bag, as well, on board. Carry-on bags are handled by yourself. Do not make them heavier than what you can carrry. Don't forget your camera snf extra batteries for your charger.
Dress Code & How to Pack: This tour is comfortable and casual. Wear comfortable shoes and pack a light weight fall jacket should it get a bit chilly. You may also wish to pack a swimming suit as Rowley's Bay has an indoor pool. We also recommend an umbrella for the rainy days and sunscreen for sunny days.
Shuttles : Sometimes, if an area where we promised to be a boarding location, falls short in numbers, we may have to offer a small shuttle vehicle to help save costs or ask you to travel a short distance to meet the coach. We'd rather run a shuttle than totally cancel the convenience of a ride for folks for this tour. We hope you'll understand why we occassionally offer smaller shuttle vehicles. By smaller, we mean van, car or Yukon.
Meals: The meals we include offer menu’s with limited menu options, some plated and some buffets. The breakfasts at the Super Eight in Shawano is a deluxe continental. The one at Rowley's Bay is a full breakfast.
Special Needs: Be sure to let us know of any special needs...such as diet, walking, stairs, allergies or motion sickness, etc…. If you use a wheelchair, walker (one with a seat is best) or a scooter, please let us know. Please refrain from using strong cologns or perfumes while on board the coach. So many folks have allergies and we want everyone comfortable while traveling. Diabetics are encouraged to bring along some little snacks as we cannot always promise meal breaks on schedule though we do our best to.
Tipping: The tour includes tips for luggage handling, meals and step-on-guides. Tips are not included for your driver & on board travel host.
On Board Activities: We play movies, play games, listen to CDs & tell stories as we pass the time along while traveling. If you have a cute joke or story (and it’s appropriate for all audiences!) then we invite you to use the microphone and share your humor with all on board.
Schedule Changes: We reserve the right to adjust this schedule for the benefit of all traveling. Sometimes changes occur beyond our control. If a change occurs, we’ll replace it something of equal value. We have no control over any of the attractions listed in this flyer nor can we control hotels, tour companies (other than our own); restaurants and theaters.
