Day 3: November 4 and Day 4: November 5 -Breakfast is included each morning at the lodge. Spend two full days on the tundra in search of the majestic polar bear. Each day you’ll explore more of the Hudson Bay coastline with a driver/guide who will lead you through our wildlife viewing area in search of arctic fox, arctic hare, camouflaged ptarmigan and, if you are lucky, the snowy owl and the gyrfalcon. Our tours will be spent on the comfortable Arctic Crawler tundra vehicle as we set out in search of bear. The Arctic Crawler is equipped with a propane furnace, bathroom facility, and a rear viewing deck so you can safely stand outside while photographing. Although we can accommodate as many as 40 on our tundra vehicle, we limit our group sizes to a maximum of 30 for your comfort and convenience. On tundra viewing days we depart from the lodge at 8:00 a.m. A hearty lunch, hot drinks and snacks are always included. (2 Breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners)
Day 5: November 6Enjoy your breakfast this morning before enjoying one more day in Churchill before returning to Winnipeg. Cape Merry: Named after the 1712-1718 Deputy Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company, John Merry, Cape Merry is bounded by the Churchill River and the Hudson Bay. It has a wealth of history and natural beauty you won't want to miss. Polar Bear Jail: One way the citizens of Churchill care for their polar bear friends is to actually put them in "jail." When someone spots a polar bear too close to town, they call a special phone number, and the bear is humanely trapped and placed in the Polar Bear Jail until it can be safely transported back to the wild. You'll see the jail firsthand and learn about its amazing history as part of the tour. We’ve also include the Eskimo Museum…the largest number of Inuit artifacts in the world. (Please note: Our tours in Churchill may occur on different days than what is listed, but this is how it was done on our last tour to see Polar Bears and it all worked out quite well) In the late afternoon, we'll get ready to fly to Winnipeg. Our shuttle will bring us to the airport for our Calm Air flight. Time and flight numbers are yet to be announced. Upon landing in Winnipeg, our motor coach will be there to pick us up and shuttle us to the BW Charterhouse Inn . The rest of your evening can be spent at your leisure. (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Estimated arrival to Gr Rapids is 6:30 pm; Hibbing is 7:15 pm ; Virginia is 7:45 pm; Eveleth is 8:15 pm; Duluth is 9:15 pm. Our friends from the central MN area will arrive home to Baxter area @ 8 pm; Little Falls @ 9:00 pm; Rice at 9:15 and Sartell @ 9:30 pm. (Breakfast included)
Changes: We reserve the right to adjust this schedule for the benefit of all traveling. If a change of hotel, restaurant or an attraction occurs, we’ll replace it with one of equal value or better. As always… we’ll inform you of any changes as we learn of them. Remember weather can play a part on seeing the bears. In 2010 we saw well over 50+ bears in the wild! There are about 1500 bears in Churchill so it’s not likely we won’t see them. The guides know right where to go! We also have TWO full days in search of bears…. one along the coastline and the other inland.
