Homeward Bound – The Farewell Tour with Simon and his band bringing to the stage a stunning, career-spanning repertoire of timeless hits and classic songs which have permeated and influenced popular culture for generations.According to Simon, the Homeward Bound tour is a fitting culmination of a performing career that began in the early 1960s and has coincided with his artistic journey as a songwriter and recording artist until the present day. During his unparalleled career, Simon has achieved 29 Top 40 singles in the U.S. alone, with 14 of those reaching the Top 10 or higher, including “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” (which reached #1), “Kodachrome,” “Loves Me Like A Rock,” “Mother and Child Reunion,” “Late In The Evening,” “You Can Call Me Al” and many others. With Simon & Garfunkel, he wrote and performed the #1 singles, “The Sound of Silence,” “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and numerous other timeless hits. Final payment is due May 1, 2018 ~ Cancellations between April 1 - May 1, 2018 are contingent to what Happy Trails Tours receives beck from the show tickets, hotel, charter and restaurants. No refunds with cancellations after May 1, 2018. This tour is transferrable so if you know of someone wishing to take your place, that is fine. If we have a waiting list, we can also help you sell your reservation.
Travel insurance is available. Pre-existing conditions are waived when it’s purchased within 10 days of paying your initial deposit. It can offer peace of mind and financial security. Call if you have any questions.

Day 2: Saturday, June 9th
7:00 - 9:15 AM- The hotel offers buffet breakfast in a banquet room, included. 8:15 AM- Set your luggage outside your doors/ Departing at 9:15 AM. Board the coach and we'll travel about 2 hours to Spooner, Wisconsin this morning. 11:15 AM- Arrive to Spooner's Train Station for our 90 minute excursion on the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad! |
All aboard! Enjoy a scenic train ride along the Namekagon River, part of the St. Croix National Park System. Tour a 15-mile stretch of the old Chicago & Northwestern track between Spooner and Springbrook, laid more than 100 years ago. The train we booked for today is the Pizza Train, one of their most popular family oriented trains each season. The pizza comes from Tony’s Riverside in Spooner as it has since day one. The trip lasts about 90 minutes during which you will see farm fields, deep woods, the scenic Namekagon River and stop at the Bean Creek Trestle.
