This property is a resort vacation hotel situated in Scottsdale. It is a
3.5 star family friendly property with 4 heated pools, a water park and breakfast offered each morning in their restaurant. They have received great reviews for cleanliness and provide everyone with one and two bedroom villas with full kitchens. They have a gift shop and a marketplace on property along with peaceful places to sit and take in the Arizona sun. All but one day while here, our motorcoach driver will bring us somewhere fun to explore. They do not offer shuttle service so a taxi would be your best option on the day the bus is not offering side trips. This property does not offer luggage handling; however, your Happy Trails tour directors are happy to assist those who might need assistance. The resort also said they will help if they can. They don’t offer room service unless you want it. There is a service charge so we will leave that up to each individual if they want maid service. One more important thing… it does NOT have elevators. The condos are on 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd floors. Be sure to mark the registration form if you need a lower floor. So, unpack your bags and settle in for the next seven nights. Welcome to Scottsdale! B |

The organ has 1,074 keys, buttons, and switches linked to a series of xylophones, glockenspiels, gongs, and cymbals to create the sound of a full orchestra. Nightly shows also include dancing marionette cats, disco balls and spectacular light shows. While diners sup below, four industrial blowers pump pressurized air through the 6,000 pipes of the 1927 Wurlitzer organ, which is insured for $5 million. The performance hall restaurant serves 300,000 visitors each year, while the organ plays classics like “The Flight of the Bumblebee,” “The Hills Are Alive” from “The Sound of Music,” “The Circle of Life” from “The Lion King,” the “Star Wars” theme, and “God Bless America.” B

Final documents: Your final documents and day-by-day itinerary, hotel address & phone information will arrive 2-3 weeks prior to departure.
How to Dress: Pack light.... Bring casual clothing, comfortable shoes & a winter/fall jacket. Layer your clothing so you are prepared for all types of weather. Many of the hotel properties offer coin-operated washers and dryers, for your convenience. The Holiday Inn Resort has washer and dryers in your condo.
Luggage: Pack one suitcase each. This suitcase is delivered each night to your rooms by the porter. Some properties cannot promise they will provid porterage. If this is the case, we will assist those who need help. You may bring a carry-on bag on board, as well. (Carry-on bags are handled by yourself. Do not make them heavier than what you can carry. ) Pack a swimming suit if you enjoy the pool, bring a camera, and sunscreen. Pack for warm and cold temps.
Driver & Escort: Your driver & tour director are yet to be announced. Be assured they are experienced, professional and a lot of fun!
Hotels: The hotels are very nice with non-smoking rooms. Most rooms blocked have two beds. Most have indoor pools, coffeemakers, irons, ironing boards and fitness centers. Please read the daily itinerary to see what the amenities are for each property.
Meals: There are many nice meals included in this tour. Be sure to call in any special diet requests.
The Coach/ Seat Rotation: Our coaches are chartered through Minnesota Coaches from Duluth, MN. They offer the newest fleet in the motor coach business. They offer spacious seats with leather interior, large windows, restroom, window shades and adjustable foot rests. They also have TV’s & VCR & DVD. All seats are pre-arranged in advance of the tour so that you know where you are sitting before you board. We will NOT be rotating seats. Though there are advantages to rotating seats, we have also found that there are disadvantages, too. One thing we have noticed is that when folks keep the same seat throughout the tour, people stay “healthier”. Colds and flu bugs do not spread as quickly. We cannot promise seats in the front of the coach unless you have a serious medical condition that would require it.
Special Needs: Be sure to let us know of any special needs...such as diet, walking, climbing stairs, allergies or motion sickness, etc….PRIOR to departure. Please let us know if you are bringing a walker or a scooter.
Tipping: The tour includes tips for luggage handling, meals and step-on-guides while touring various cities. Tips are not included for your driver & escort. This customary act and the amount given is entirely a personal decision and often done individually or by the group on board. As always…it’s appreciated but never required.
Colognes and Perfumes: Many folks are allergic to colognes and perfumes, kindly refrain from the heavy use of products containing strong fragrances. Thank you.
On Board Activities: We play movies, play games, listen to cd’s & tell stories as we pass the time along while traveling. If you have a cute joke or story (and it’s appropriate for all audiences!) then we invite you to use the microphone and share your humor with all on board.
Schedule Changes: We reserve the right to adjust this schedule for the benefit of all traveling. Sometimes changes occur beyond our control. If a change occurs, we will let you know as soon as possible and try to replace it something of equal value.
Travel Protection Insurance: Travel protection insurance is available to folks for many different types of emergencies that may result in a personal cancellation on this tour. Travel insurance not only offers financial security but also “peace of mind”. Pre-existing conditions are waived if it is purchased within 10 days of your initial down payment to Happy Trails Tours.
What if You Become Sick While On-Board? We hope no one becomes ill while traveling on board the coach. What we can tell you is this: DO NOT board sick or with any symptoms of illness. Go to your doctor prior to the tour departure and be checked out. Get a “thumbs up” from the doc before boarding. We can also promise you this: “We cannot distance you from a virus”. Expect to be exposed to something along your journey. But be proactive. Take all necessary steps to assure good hygiene by washing your hands frequently and if you have a cough, be proactive in covering your mouth as to slow the spread. If you feel comfortable with wearing a mask, then do so. If you feel ill while in the midst of traveling, seek medical attention. Happy Trails and the bus company wipe down surfaces frequently during any day of travel. We do not share anyone’s medical diagnosis or condition, at any time, without consent. Travel Insurance will help to cover some of the costs associated with any sickness while on a Happy Trails Tour. Bring your Travel Insurance documents with you.
Final Balance is due October 19, 2024.
