Folks can feel safe and secure when traveling with Happy Trails Tours. The genuine concern and care for each individual traveler is felt the minute they step on board one of our tours.

We strive to get to know each of our travelers personally and count each one after every stop to assure everyone is accounted for. As each tour begins, every group learns about all the safety features on board the coach. They are shown how to exit the coach in case of an emergency, as well as where the first aid kit and fire extinguishers are located.

Maybe you’ve wondered what would happen if you became ill while on a tour. We always encourage folks to seek professional medical treatment and offer assistance in helping them make the necessary contacts with their families back home. You’ll be sent a “medical form” in your final document packet before the tour ever leaves. Our on-board escorts instruct folks on the importance of keeping them on their person and easy for emergency medical personnel to find.

Should an emergency back home require your immediate attention, and you find you need to get home quick, we’re there to assist you. Unfortunately, it HAS happened more often than you might think. We highly encourage folks to purchase travel protection insurance. This not only helps with expenses due to your own personal medical emergencies and transfers (such as; ambulance and airfare), but it will also cover those costs of getting you home quickly to your family. The insurance covers numerous other issues that may cause your tour to be interrupted but we think that just the “peace of mind” it offers is priceless.
Weather is the most common concern of them all! We actually delayed the home bound return of a tour to Branson in November 2007. A blizzard hit the exact route we would have traveled and it paralyzed the entire Midwest. We were grateful to avoid the storm by spending an extra day in Branson where we were safe, warm and “entertained”. Some years back, we changed the route on a tour to the Amana Colonies so that we could avoid heavy flooding which later caused the roads we originally would have used to completely close. Our drivers are very attentive to the local weather channels and forecasts in the locations we are traveling! (The travel insurance also picks up the tab on this, too!)

Now more about those drivers! They are well-trained and very experienced professionals. Being rested before getting behind the wheel of any Happy Trails Tour is just as important as not exceeding the number of hours they can drive in a day. They keep impeccable log books and have excellent driving records. The motor coaches are not only kept clean, but are also well-maintained by qualified mechanics and always checked over carefully before any tour goes out on the road.

Some of the Trobec motor coach fleet now have seatbelts.

We always offer a hand as you step off of the coach and assist individuals whenever needed. Let’s just say, we do everything humanly possible to assure a relaxing travel experience with SAFETY as our number ONE priority.

Welcome aboard and may you have a safe and memorable journey.
