| A Prairie Home Companion is a radio variety show starring humorist and Minnesota native, Garrison Keillor. The program features tales from Lake Wobegon, "where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average." Keillor first broadcast A Prairie Home Companion in 1969. It has existed in its current format since 1974. Today, over four million listeners hear his unique brand of satire each week on over 558 public radio stations, and is heard abroad on America One and the Armed Forces Networks in Europe and the Far East. - Reserved seats to see Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion on Friday night at Minnesota State Fair.

Departures will begin in Grand Rapids @ 6:15 am; Hibbing @7 am; Virginia @ 7:30; Eveleth @ 7:45 (Breakfast paying on own from 8:45 - 9:35 am). Duluth boarding will be at 9:30 am; Cloquet @ 10 am. Your tour will include arriving to the Minnesota State Fair in the early afternoon (around 12:30 pm) and staying throughout the evening to see Garrison Keillor @ Prairie Home Companion in the Grandstand. We’ll check into the hotel after the fireworks is done. Also, with this weekend being a prelude into the Labor Day holiday, our plans will be to travel home Saturday in the mid-morning after we’ve had a full breakfast. Estimated arrival home will be 3:30 pm to Cloquet, 4 pm to Duluth; 6 pm to the Iron Range Cities and 7 pm to Grand Rapids. |

Refunds with cancellations prior to August 1, 2010 are hinged upon what Happy Trails can retrieve back from hotel, restaurant, theater, coach, tour company, etc. No monies are refundable with cancellations after August 1, 2010. |
