Since then, the band has amassed a total of twenty-seven singles on the country charts, with 10 of those reaching Number One. Later that afternoon, we’ll go to the Imax Entertainment Center and see the live performance of “A tribute to the legendary Hank Williams” portrayed by Nashville Recording Artist, TIM HADLER. Come an’ enjoy Tim singin’ Hanks big hits such as Cheatin’ Heart, Hey Good Lookin’, I’m so Lonesome I Could Cry, as well as songs from Hank’s alter ego “Luke the Drifter”. He will take you from Hank’s beginning, what Hank did for country music, and how he continues to live in the present through artists he influenced. Tonight we’ll offer you a choice of TWO big entertainers. You can either go to the RFD- TV Theater to see Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives OR you can stay on board the coach and travel a little further to the Tri Lakes Theater and see comedian, Tim Conway and Friends (Tim’s show is $20 per person more).
Marty Stuart is an entertainer in every sense of the word. His sharp clothes coupled with his infectious enthusiasm in front of an audience make for a performance nothing short of sensational. For two seasons he has hosted The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV, a show that is ever-gaining momentum. Stuart, who is married to country queen Connie Smith, does not hesitate to credit his musical “compadres” for his ability to create great music and entertainment. While Marty enjoyed his greatest success in the early 90’s with hit singles like “Hillbilly Rock,” “Tempted” and “Burn Me Down,” it seems that now, at 48, he is making the best music of his life. Known for his musical merging of rockabilly, honky tonk and traditional country music, Marty is now accompanied by his band, the Fabulous Superlatives.
Tim Conway, a comedic actor best known for his roles in“McHale’s Navy” and the long-running “Carol Burnett Show,” is coming to Branson, and he’s bringing along a couple of friends. Conway, who was christened “Thomas” at his birth, but later changed his name to avoid confusion with another actor, Tom Conway, will appear at The Mansion Theatre October 21 - 22 to present his show,“Tim Conway & Friends.”His “friends” are another longtime actor, Chuck McCann, and Louise DuArt, a singing impressionist and comedienne.“It’s about an hour-and-a-half of just good, old-fashioned comedy,” Conway said in a recent phone interview. “And you can bring the whole family, since none of us know any swear words.”
Isn’t it nice to have choices? But in this case, it’s tough because both put on such good shows. You will have to select the show of choice on the registration form when you sign up. Tim’s show is $20 more per person. Afterwards, we’ll return to the hotel for our 2nd night stay in the Ozarks.

Another included, breakfast, will be served at the hotel before beginning our day’s activities. This morning we’re we’ll travel to Silver Dollar City and attend the annual “Fall Harvest Arts and Craft Festival”. How exciting that Waddie Mitchell, cowboy poet and storyteller is there and we have VIP seating in the Opry House.
Waddie Mitchell: From his earliest days on the remote Nevada ranches where his father worked, Waddie was immersed in the cowboy way of entertaining, the art of spinnin' tales in rhyme and meter that came to be called cowboy poetry, a Western tradition that is as rich as the lifestyle that gave birth to it. Within his stories, told in a voice that is timeless and familiar, are the common bonds we all share, moments both grand and commonplace, the humorous and the tragic, the life and death straggles and triumphs that we each recognize. And yet, Waddie presents his material with personal insights and the lessons learned during his life spent as a buckaroo. Waddie brings the house down with his stories and humor so get ready for a fabulous show.
We’ve also included vouchers for lunch where you can help yourself to a variety of indoor restaurants to choose from. The park opens at 10 am and we’ll plan on staying until mid-afternoon allowing ample time to see Waddie’s show (and others on the grounds) as well as experience the all that SDC has to offer. There are many artisans, music shows and arts and crafts for purchase. We’ll return to the hotel in the late afternoon, allowing a bit of down time to rest before tonight’s show. Tonight we’ll see the Haygoods.
Haygoods: The Adventures of The Haygoods gives a first hand look into the life and music of one of Branson, Missouri’s most popular and entertaining performing families. The Haygoods are 7 real life brothers and 1 sister who have performed in Branson for 20 years, for over 5 million people! The family includes Timothy, Patrick, Dominic, Shawn, Michael, Matt hew, Aaron and the only girl in the family, Catherine. They range in age from 33 to 17 and are a truly unique American musical success story.

We’ll enjoy breakfast before saying good-bye to Branson. Departure time is at 8:30 am. We’ll make stops along the way as we wind our way northward toward Des Moines -back to the Drury Inn. A stop at the Russell Stover’s Candy Outlet store in Kansas City will be made today. “Life really is like a box of chocolates”. We’ll arrive to Des Moines around 6 pm tonight.

After breakfast at the Drury Inn, we’ll board the bus at 8:00 am and begin our journey to the lovely state of Minnesota. A stop in Owatonna at Cabella’s will be made since so many folks tell us they enjoy that stop. Here you can get lunch, paying on own, before continuing home.
