Day 1: Monday, June 22nd June 22 - 26, 2009 Travel to Door County - Rowley’s Bay- 450 miles In mid to late May, we’ll announce the boarding times and places where the bus will stop. By that time, the tour will be ready to finalize and we’ll know how many are boarding and where folks are from. So, just stay tuned. This is a travel day…where you’ll have time to just sit back, relax and get acquainted with fellow travelers on board. Meal and rest stops will be made as the day goes along. 6:00 PM - Check into the Wagon Trail Resort - Rowley’s Bay, Wisconsin. Indoor pool, Whirlpool, sauna, (fish off the dock), hiking trails, charter fishing, game room, tennis & volleyball courts, spectacular sunrises, Fish Boil dinners and more. 7:00 PM - Walk down to the water….and enjoy a delightful “Fish Boil” dinner, included. (I heard there’ll be a storyteller, there) Day 2: Tuesday, June 23rd Enjoy a nice breakfast, included, before touring on the Mainland. 8:30 AM - Begin a full day of touring with a local step-on-guide from the area. Inclusions today are the Bjorklunden Chapel, a one hour concert there, scenic Cave Point, shopping in Sturgeon Bay (lunch at leisure there)….Karin’s Gardens and Gift Shop, and a working Dairy Farm. 5:00 PM - Return to the hotel for the rest of the evening as per your own agenda. Day 3: Wednesday, June 24th Enjoy a nice breakfast, included, before enjoying another tour on the Mainland. 8:15 AM - Begin a full day of touring with our Door County guide from the area. Inclusions today are the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse in Fish Creek…with free time to shop and get lunch, paying on own. Next stop is Sister Bay….and a visit to Seaquist Farm Market. 3:30 PM - Return to the hotel - with time to freshen up for the evening’s activities. 5:30 PM - Another nice dinner, included today, (place to be announced.) 8:00 PM - Reserved seats for a delightful production at the Peninsula Players Theater in Fish Creek. 10:30 PM - Return to the hotel for a well-deserved night’s rest. Day 4: Thursday, June 25th Enjoy a nice breakfast, included, before enjoying another fun day …this time to Washington Island! 8:15 AM - Begin a full day of touring with our Door County guide ….and travel to the boat dock for our ferry ride (bus and all to Washington Island. We’ll visit a Stav Church, Farm Museum, have lunch at Findlay’s, included, Mann’s Mercantile, and an Ostrich Farm. 3:00 PM - We’ll re-board the boat and ferry back to the mainland - with a visit to Gill’s Rock before ending our day. Day 5: Friday, June 26th Enjoy a nice breakfast, included, before traveling home! 7:00 AM - Set your luggage outside your doors for the porters. 8:00 AM - The coach departs for home. We’ll enjoy the scenery of beautiful Wisconsin as we make our journey homeward. Estimated arrival home is as follows; 6:00 PM - Duluth area; 8:00 PM - Eveleth; 8:15 PM - Virginia; 8:45 PM - Hibbing; 9:45 PM - Grand Rapids Click here for printable reservation form.
