How to Pack: The tour is completely casual. Wear comfortable shoes and pack along a light weight fall jacket (weather temps run about 60-70 degrees this time of year.) |

Changes: We reserve the right to adjust this schedule for the benefit of all traveling. If a change of hotel, restaurant or an attraction occurs, we’ll replace it with one of equal value or better. As always… we’ll inform you of any changes as we learn of them. |

September 13 - Monday, Day 1:
This is a travel day.
We’ll get acquainted with one another as the day goes along and make stops for breaks and meals as needed. We’ll stop every 2-½ to 3 hours for breaks. Specifics on what time the bus arrives and what venues will be announced in later in the summer. 5:00 pm - Estimated arrival to Des Moines - The Drury Inn. Tonight is at your leisure. The hotel offers hot & cold food items between 5:30 - 7 pm. There are also restaurants within walking distance.
September 14 - Tuesday, Day 2:
Enjoy a nice breakfast at the hotel before we depart for Branson. We’ll leave about 7:30 am. A mid-morning stop will made as well as a lunch stop en-route. 3:30 pm - Estimated arrival to Branson, Missouri - The Box Car Willie Motel. One we arrive, you’ll have time to relax a bit before going out to dinner and show tonight. Dinner reservations will be at the Fall Creek Steak House (several plated entrée’s to select from) and then we’re off to the Tri Lakes Theater to see the Roy Clark Show! What can we say about Roy Clark? He’s still a fabulous entertainer and does only al limited number of engagements there. So…we thought it might be fun to see his show again!
September 15 - Wednesday, Day 3:
A nice breakfast awaits at the Box Car Motel. This morning we’ll take you back to the Tri Lakes Theater to see Dalena Ditto’s Country Variety Show. We’re hearing nothing but great reviews on this lady so we figured we’d better check it out ourselves! She’s shared the stage with legendary artists including Willie Nelson, Faith Hill, George Jones and many others. At noon, today we’ll take you to the Clay Cooper Theater for a nice lunch before seeing Neal McCoy‘s show. Songs like; "Wink," "For A Change," "No Doubt About It," "They're Playin' Our Song," "You Gotta Love That," "The Shake" and many others are what made Neal McCoy the star he is today! Later that afternoon…we’ve made time to visit Branson Landing and Old Downtown. Tonight is wide open so if folks are looking for something fun to do …maybe another great show…let us know and we’ll be happy to assist you finding something fun to do tonight.
September 16 - Thursday, Day 4:
Another nice breakfast awaits at the Box Car Motel before beginning our day’s activities. We’ve planned a nice Ozark Mountain Area Tour for those interested. If you’ve done this tour before and wish to take the morning as per your own agenda, no problem. On this tour, we’ll drive by the fish hatchery, see where some of the celebrities live, learn about the Ozark Mountains and it’s people. The afternoon offers you an opportunity to visit Silver Dollar City’s Harvest Festival. . We’ll arrive at 1:00 pm, taking the afternoon exploring Branson’s number 1 and Mid-America’s largest theme park…It’s home to over 100 American Craftsmen, 60 unique shops, with a state-of-the-art Culinary & Craft School. There are also 40 live shows and over 30 rides with 17 restaurants. You‘ll have a great time visiting here. We’ll stay until 5:30 pm. Next, we’ll enjoy a great buffet dinner at the Stage Door Cantina with the Ray Stevens Show to follow at 8 pm! Ray hasn’t performed in Branson for many years and has only a limited number of performances in 2010. We thought it might be a great time to see his show!
September 17 - Friday, Day 5:
We’ll enjoy another nice breakfast before saying good-bye to Branson. We’ll make stops along the way as we wind our way northward toward Des Moines -back to the Drury Inn. A stop at the Russell Stover’s Candy Outlet store in Kansas City will be made today. “Life really is like a box of chocolates!“ Upon arriving to Des Moines ( Drury Inn) hot and cold snacks & beverages will be served. Enjoy.
September 18 - Saturday, Day 6:
After breakfast at the Drury Inn, we’ll board the bus and begin our journey to the Minnesota Northland. A stop in Owatonna at Cabella’s will be made since so many folks tell us they enjoy that stop. Here you can get lunch, paying on own, before continuing home. Estimated arrivals to the various towns are as follows; 4:30 pm - Cloquet; 5:00 - Duluth; 6:30 pm - Eveleth; 7:00 pm - Virginia; 7:30 pm - Hibbing; 8:15 pm Grand Rapids.
