  • It’s A Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play: It’s 1946 and a radio broadcast of “It’s a Wonderful Life” is taking place before a live audience in the famous Promenade Ballroom of the legendary Saint Paul Hotel … all while enjoying a delightful four-course tea. This unique rendition of a favorite Christmas classic and the production of Billy Elliot will only add to the uniqueness of this wonderful tour.

Monies returned with cancellations between November 1 - 19, 20 10, are contingent to what Happy Trails Tours receives from charter, tour company, restaurants and festival. No refunds with cancellations made after November 19, 2010.

Boarding: 7:15 AM Grand Rapids; 8:00 Hibbing; 8:30 Virginia; 8:45 Eveleth; (Break in Duluth) 10:15 Duluth; 10:45 Cloquet
Lunch stop at Toby’s in Hinckley from 11:45 - 1:00, paying on own.
2:30 PM - Arrive to the St Paul Hotel (Time to unpack and freshen up for dinner and show tonight)
4:30 PM - Dinner, included, at the hotel; 5:45 PM- Board the bus and travel to MPLS
6:30 PM - Reserved seating for Billy Elliot, Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis


Your breakfast and lunch are on your own today. This early part of the day is yours to enjoy as per your leisure in the historic district of St Paul. It’s Monday so stores, museums & restaurants are open. Many within walking distance.
2:00 PM - Live play, “It’s A Wonderful Life” (about 2 hours); 4 pm (estimated conclusion of the play)
Enjoy the tea while enjoying the live radio show. (Surprising that these little appetizers can be so filling!)
6:00 PM - Estimated arrival to Hinckley; 7:30 PM to Cloquet; 8:00 to Duluth; 9:00 to Eveleth; 9:15 to Virginia; 10:45 PM to Hibbing; 11:30 PM to Grand Rapids
